云南工程建设总承包公司（前身为云南省第八建筑工程公司）始建于1953年，是云南省唯一一家国家房屋建筑工程施工总承包特级资质企业，简称“云南建设”。公司注册资本金3.82亿元。现有在职职工1437名，其中专业技术人员698名，高职32人，中职237人，注册建造师153名，注册造价工程师13人，注册安全工程师11人。大中型施工机械407台，总功率1.14万千瓦。

公司具有房屋建筑工程施工总承包特级、市政公用工程施工总承包一级、消防设施工程专业承包一级、机电设备安装工程专业承包一级、地基与基础工程专业承包一级、钢结构工程专业承包一级、建筑智能化工程专业承包二级、水利水电工程施工总承包二级、混凝土预制构件专业二级等资质。在云南建筑行业中首批通过GB/T19001-2000、GB/T24001-2004、GB/T28001-2001质量、环境、职业健康安全管理体系认证，是云南省综合实力最强的建筑施工企业。

公司40余次受到部、省、市级表彰，荣获“全国创全优工程先进企业”、“全国先进施工企业”、“全国优秀施工企业”、“云南省建筑业发展突出贡献企业”等称号，获国家建筑工程质量最高奖“鲁班奖”3项、国家优质工程奖6项，110多个项目获建设部、省级优质工程奖，被列为“中国最大500家建筑企业及500家最佳经济效益建筑企业”。公司下辖28个生产经营单位，具有土建施工、市政工程施工、水电消防安装、地基基础施工、钢结构施工等综合配套的生产能力。

Yunnan General Contract of Engineering Construction Corporation (the former Yunnan Eighth Construction Engineering Corporation) was founded in 1953, which is the only construction company in Yunnan province owning the special-grade general contracting qualification for construction of home-building projects, short for Yunnan Construction. It has a registered capital, 382 million Yuan. Yunnan Construction has a total workforce of 1437, among whom 698 are various professionals, including 32 awarded senior professional titles, 237 awarded medium-grade professional titles, 153 certified chartered builders, 13 registration cost engineers, and 11 certified safety engineers. Its large and medium scale of construction machineries amounts to 407 and the total power is 11400 kilowatts.

      Yunnan Construction has a special-grade general contracting qualification for construction of home-building projects, first-grade general contracting qualification for construction of municipal public projects, first-grade professional contracting qualification for firefighting equipment projects, first-grade professional contracting qualification for construction of electromechanical installation projects, first-grade professional contracting qualification for ground and foundation projects, first-grade professional contracting qualification for steel structure projects, second-grade professional contracting qualification for intellectualized construction, second-grade general contracting qualification for water resource and hydro-power projects, Second-grade professional contracting qualification for Pre-mix concrete production, and etc. It is one of the earliest enterprises in the building industry of Yunnan province which passed the safety management system certification of GB/T19001-2000、GB/T24001-2004 and GB/T28001-2001, and the strongest comprehensive construction enterprise in Yunnan province.

      Yunnan Construction has been praised over 40 times by ministerial, provincial, and municipal levels. It has been granted the titles of “national creating general excellent constructions advanced enterprise”, “national advanced building enterprise”, “national excellent building enterprise”, and “the breakthrough contribution enterprise for the building industry development of Yunnan province”. It has won three lu ban prizes, the highest prize for construction quality, six national high quality construction prizes, and more than 110 ministerial and provincial high quality construction prizes. Yunnan Construction is ranked as “Chinese 500 biggest construction enterprises and 500 best economic efficiency enterprises”. It has 28 production-operation units, capable of home building, municipal public projects building, hydropower firefighting installation, ground and foundation construction, steel structure construction.
